Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 13 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

Ah Saturday…

Rest…

My wife and I spent the day together and I didn’t work out today…

I did notice something though… my head was stuffier than it usually is, and it stayed that way all day.

It certainly wasn’t as bad as it was when I weighed 248 pounds but it sure was different than what I have become used to when I work out.

Friday… ah… The weekend is almost here…

So last night I self medicated with some Cognac. After a remarkably sore few days I thought a rocks glass with some cognac would be appropriate for my hard work.

The beauty of working out and purifying your body is this great thing… you become a REALLY cheap date.. LOL

I had one rocks glass of my favorite Cognac (Courvoisier VSOP) and was completely off my rocker in short order.

This brings me to wondering about the affects of alcohol on weight loss systems. I’ll have to blog on that another time.

Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 11 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

Oh god… I can’t move…

LOL…

Wow I’m really hurting today… and the only cure is to get to the gym and move (600 milligrams of advil helps too hehe).

My workout today was to run. Honestly I felt pretty crumby before I got to the gym. So I ran and at 20 minutes I decided to run some more… and at 40 minutes I ran even more.

I felt like Forest Gump… It was good… the first 20 was absolutely brutal… but once my blood started to flow and I was worried about he burning in my legs… the burning in my arms and chest didn’t seem to matter any more… hehe

Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 10 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

So the soreness of yesterdays workout is pretty brutal…

This is the first day after a heavy workout and usually you get a free day before it really hurts. Tomorrow I’ll be paying heavy for the intense workout yesterday.

Today I started my workout with some advil. heheh

Then I took it light and ran for 20 minutes then did some laps in the pool for another 30 minutes.

Regarding the movement: I am trying to get the blood flowing and after moving I certainly feel better but I’m still feeling very sore already… so tomorrow will be very bad…

Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 9 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

I made the mistake of checking my email before my workout today… and before I knew it… Poof! An hour had passed and I was tight on time for my workout.

Doh! Managing time and sticking to it is paramount to being in control of your weight loss.

So I hit it hard. Replacing duration for intensity this makes for a good change in pace from the last few days to keep my body guessing.

Tuesday’s Time in the Gym 40 Minutes:
10 minutes of high intensity cardio (running not jogging) to get my blood moving.

Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 8 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

The weekend gave me some reprive to recover from last weeks intense workout so I hit it really hard to maximize my efforts to lose weight.

Today I skipped the gym altogether and ran out my door and them proceeded to push myself to complete failure running up and down the hills in the neighborhood I live it.

I absolutely hated it but I managed to ignore the boredom of running by focusing on pushing myself and I listened to the sound track from the Original 80′s version of “Transformers The Movie”.

It was actually very inspiring and made me feel young again…

Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 7 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

Sunday’s workout was pretty light for me but I had a great little thought that will help you lose weight. As I was traveling to the gym, it was early and still dark.

Something very interesting happened… I saw a woman jogging. But this woman had a marked difference about her she was wearing a reflective orange vest and she was carrying a flashlight.

Strangely I had seen her many times before. But her outfit really got me thinking this morning.

She was lean and her stride was confident and strong… so what creates that?

Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 6 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

So Saturday Ended up being a really lazy day for me. I did make it to the gym and did a light workout of running on the treadmill (Listening to Tim Ferris’s 4 Hour Work Week which is absolutely brilliant BTW).

Saturday’s workout:

45 Minutes of light jogging on the worlds most expensive hamster wheel (treadmill).

Listening to Tim’s book is one of the ways I find pleasure in things I just can’t stand doing (running is one of those things I have never seemed to like.)

Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 5 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

Day 5 of the workout was not to workout… it was too rest. This is part of the free weight loss program that we introduce on our main page.

One thing to remember is that it is critical to give your body time to repair so my day 5 was rest.

I slept it (I woke at 6:30 instead of 4:30) and the extra 2 hours was awesome!. I moved at a leisurely pace all day.

Once you have gotten into a good workout pattern, it is interesting on your rest days… You tend to feel like something is missing…

Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 4 of my 2nd 90 day Cycle.

So last night my wife cooked a mad meal and I ate pretty heavy. It happens…
If it happens to you don’t beat yourself up over it. Just make sure you get into the gym.

Today’s workout – Legs:

3 Sets of 12 on the squat rack (270lbs, 360lbs, 450lbs).

3 Sets of 12 Dead lifts (70lbs, 90lbs, 110lbs).

3 Sets of 12 On the Glut and Hams Machines (This is that one that locks you in at the hips and ankles. You face down at about a 45 degree angle, then you bend over to about a 90 degree. It hits your butt and the back of your legs really well).
