because you are acting from the premise that something other than

This is the reason you haven’t lost the weight you have always wanted

must accept this idea as the truth and begin approaching everything
from that paradigm.

attack these things and force them to their will. When you make a
decision everyday to be faithful to what you really want. You will

When you are in a moment of weakness you must make the decision to
be lean strong and alive. Don’t trade what you really want for what
you want right now (Yes, I meant to say this two times in this email to you).

When you are tempted to sleep instead of workout or eat a meal that is
unhealthy rather than something healthy catch yourself and remember
who you want to be.

Losing weight is really about becoming a stronger person, in every
sense.

– Your body must become physically stronger to lose weight.
– Your mind must become stronger to resist the temptations of junk food.
– Your spirit (the things that motivate you) must become stronger to
keep you on the right path.

How do you go about changing your mindset?
One of the easiest ways is to do the opposite of what you want in a
moment of weakness.

–  If you don’t feel like taking your supplements, be 100% sure to take them.
–  If you want to eat a Twinkie, make 100% sure you don’t.
–  If you want to sleep in rather than workout, get your ass up and get going
(trick yourself if you have too).

Here are some times when you are likely to feel at your weakest:

–  When you wake up in the morning it is hard. You just want to sleep.

To beat this, do the following:
–  Think about things to look forward to before you go to bed
the night before.

–  Be sure to get to bed early enough to get the rest you need
for the day.

–  Set up your alarm far enough away from your bed so you have to
physically get up to shut it off.

–  Get your workout clothing ready before you go to bed and
have it near your alarm.

–  Kick any nightly visitors out at a decent hour so you can rest.

–  Become obsessed with getting to bed on time, so you feel good
when you wake up the next day.

–  Pat yourself on the back when you get up early and make it to
the gym. You should be proud that you got to the gym, most people
just don’t do it.

–  When you haven’t had a chance to eat and you are looking for
something convenient to eat. Understand that in that moment you are
weak.

To beat this you have to pay attention to how you eat:
–  Make sure to plan your meals and stick to your planned schedule
(You should be eating something light about every 3 hours.

–  If you have missed a meal don’t allow your animal instincts to
take over. Try your hardest not to fall into the trap of being
irritable or grumpy. Just find healthy food to snack on.

–  Drink a large amount of water (16 ounces or more) to slow your
hunger down.

–  Try to keep your carbohydrate intake to lower amounts. When your
body uses up the sugars in your stomach it craves more. Take
it easy on the low quality carbohydrates and focus on foods
that will sustain you through the day.

–  Snack on unsalted nuts higher in natural fats. (Almonds,
Walnuts, Hazel Nuts, Macadamia nuts, etc… etc…) The fats
will satiate you quickly and you won’t feel hungry.

–  When you think, “I can’t do that.” – Or-  “I don’t have time for that.”
Understand you are in a weakened state.

To beat this “defeated attitude” first, recognize it:
–  Every person has exactly 24 hours in the day. If someone else
can make time you can too. It is that simple. Be strong and
force the time by pushing other things away if you have to.
(Make this more important than anything that gets in the way.)

make the time. You have to tell yourself you can do it.

–  When you think you can’t what you’re really saying is “it is
not that important to me.”

–  When you feel overwhelmed.

To beat this you have to slow down and think about what is
happening:

–  Feeling overwhelmed causes you to over eat or look for relief
in food. (We have all heard the term “comfort food”.) Stay
alert when you are thinking about overeating because of this.

–  Don’t allow yourself to become overwhelmed. Instead control
the environment. Make people get in line to talk to you.

–  Take things one step at a time. Be patient and don’t try to
do everything all at once.

Your state of mind is all that stands between you and your perfect
body. Keep your mind as clear as possible and control what is reasonable
to ensure you lose the weight you want.
