Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 5 and 6 of my first 90 day cycle
Day 5 went as planned. Weekend off, though I still managed to walk the dog 2 miles on Sunday. It’s funny how having a pet makes you not just responsible, but you begin to regain the joy of the simple things in life. Well, I do anyway. Going for a walk makes the dog happy, which in turn makes me happy that I was able to give him what he wants. And it’s good for me too. Walking the dog is one of the simple pleasures of my life.
Monday, another 2 mile walk and then legs at the gym. 20 minutes on the elliptical machine and then 3 sets of 12 for lean muscle mass on 5 different excercises. I’m still in the building a foundation mode. So I was using purposefully lighter weights. The intent was to go easy in an attempt to fend off any soreness. But I can already tell, that’s not going to happen. Even though I had a good foundation before, my muscles still need a little refresher course in the gym.
This is a good thing. At least I can feel a difference even if I don’t see it on the scale or in the mirror. Remember, if you haven’t been in the gym for awhile or ever, this is part of the process. It goes away with the second or third rotation. Enjoy it. You know that your muscles are working and that for them to heal themselves, they are going to have to burn calories. Yes! That’s why I’m here in the first place, right?
I’m moving on to an awesome day at work. See ya
