Weight Loss Workout Log – Day 6 and 7 of my first 90 day cycle
Day 6 was supposed to be a cardio day, but other things came up. I did learn something valuable though. I put off going to the gym til the afternoon rather than going first thing in the morning. Whoops! Guess who called. That’s right. My boss. And now I’m going to work rather than the gym.
Let that be a lesson. Anything and everything will come up at anytime of the day. If I want to ensure that I get my workout, I’ve got to go first thing in the morning before distractions come along. This is again motivation for getting out of bed early and taking care of me. Yesterday’s workout was a bust, but I’m not worried. Wednesday brings day 7 and the conclusion to my first week.
My day 7 workout consisted of 20 minutes of cardio followed by a Back and Bicep routine. It felt great. Not so much that I felt strong in my routine, but knowing that I’ve gotten through my first week back in the gym. And I’m excited about the rest of the week. My intensity will pick up and I’ll start pushing some more weight around too.
My diet has been great too. Although I’m a little carbohydrate deprived today. I can definitely feel a little uneasyness in me. A little lack of satisfaction in my gut. That wasn’t intentional, I just found a dish that I love eating. Salad with shrimp, or steak, or chicken, and fresh basil. I use a blend of spinach, romaine, mixed greens and tons of fresh basil. I’m using basil like lettuce. It’s awesome. Dress it with some balsamic and olive oil and then top it with pine nuts and sesame seeds.
Drinking plenty of water has become effortless. When I first started my gallon intake of water daily, I had to continuously remind myself to drink. Now it’s part of my routine. And I’m feeling great because of it. My motivation is high, my energy is great, and I feel better and better everyday.
Tomorrow is day 8 and I’m going to blast out 45 minutes of cardio. Sweet, I know.
